Journey to Yuno 01｜Why Yuno Was Born

Thank you so much for supporting Yuno. I?m the Product Manager behind Yuno, and today I wanted to share a little more about where this product came from and why we decided to make it.

Before Yuno, we designed O Sitter, our first-generation pet companion robot.

Learning From O Sitter

O Sitter helped us understand what pet parents value most when they are away from home: visibility, companionship, and reassurance.

After O Sitter launched, we were grateful to see many pet parents welcome it into their homes. But what mattered even more to us was the feedback we received from those users.

Many users love the 360? pet tracking experience. They like being able to check in on their pets, follow their movements, and feel more connected when they are not at home.

At the same time, users also shared practical feedback with us.

Some wanted the food container to be larger. Others told us that the one-piece structure made daily cleaning less convenient than they expected.

We take that feedback seriously.

That is where the idea of Yuno began.

Designing Yuno Around Real Daily Needs

Early sketches explored how to combine a 360? camera, a 5L food container, and a cleaner daily-use structure in one product.

Yuno was not born simply to add more features. It is designed to solve real problems pet parents experience every day.

With Yuno, we keep the 360? tracking capability because we believe visibility matters. When you are away from home, being able to clearly see your pet and understand what they are doing can bring real peace of mind.

We also upgrade the viewing angle from 110? to 140?. So, Yuno can follow your pet more naturally, capture more of the feeding area, and help you check whether your pet has actually eaten.

At the same time, we?ve redesigned the food container.

We tested multiple camera and food-container layouts before reaching Yuno?s final design.

This is one of the most challenging parts of the product. We need to make sure the 360? camera could still work smoothly, while also making the food container easier to remove, clean, and use every day.

We tested many different structures before the Yuno you see today.

In the end, Yuno came to one core question:

How can we help pet parents feel close, informed, and reassured, even when they are not at home?
